Broken Offering

When grief dims your heart,
And the sorrow too heavy to carry
When you’re breaking and can’t carry on,
Don’t rush putting your pieces back together
Before the One who sees your devastated frailty.

When your hope is ripped away by a sudden, harsh moment

When your heart given, is returned unloved
When you’re left all alone and rejected
When death takes away your most precious ones
Come, and weep at the Throne

Take all your agony and suffering
All your tears and brokenness of heart
Collect all your deepest regrets and unbearable pain
And offer it up.

For you know it is He who has done it,
It is He who has suffered before
It is He who can feel your sorrow
And can weep as you weep at His throne.

He gets glory from all of His workings
He crafts every moment with care
For the minutes we feel our lowest
He is sculpting our heart for splendor

Plant your feet in His goodness
Take your bleeding,aching heart
Collect all your heaviness
And offer it up.

Let him take you in this state
Weeping, hurting soul
And let him use it
For His glory intended
And you, a clearer display.

“Oh Lord, I call upon you; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to you! Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice!”

Psalm 141:1-2

There are some people in my life who are very dear to me who have been going through some difficult times. I hope that they can find rest in His goodness.
